First Five days

So I started this as a way to try to encourage myself to stick with the Wii Fit, unlike the tons of other times. First off, why I'm using the Wii Fit.

  1. I need to get fit. I have a number of health hazards in my family. And I don't want to get some of them if I can prevent it. Others, I want to lessen the severity of it and lessen my chances of others. I don't want type 2 diabetes, I don't want cancer, and I don't want worse asthma.
  2. I want to lose weight. I called this Fat Girl Vs Wii Fit for a reason. I am chunky, curvy, fat, big, any other synonym for it. And although I am big boned to an extent, but I can't blame everything on my bones.
  3. It's in my house. My Wii is literally right next to my desk. I can't avoid it like a gym. I don't need to pay to use it, I already have. I don't have to worry about body image in my house, or who's watching me. Oh yeah, and showering is so much less awkward.
  4. Variety. The Wii Fit has aerobics, strength, yoga, and games. There is enough that I can try without getting too bored for a while. That being said, I know that good gyms also offer that. But go back and see #3.
And now I go by day or week or whatever.
Day 1- well I set my goals and start playing. And I plan to do it the next day, until my throat started to hurt and I was diagnosed with strep. So I didn't do any workouts on days 2-4.
Day 5- I do almost 30 minutes, then I stop and do my weight and fitness check. It says I gained two pounds. I wanted me to think about why this might me. I chalk it up to the sickness and different times of day. But they don't have a "I have strep and this is right after breakfast versus right before lunch." At least my fitness was back to my actual age.
